Behind everything, our users see online is the architecture built by the Ops and Infrastructure team to keep it running.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring messaging infrastructure is maintained with a high degree of stability and operational efficiency.
Technical integration of new and maintenance of existing SMS suppliers.
Configuration of SMPP connections.
Improving tooling and proactively proposing improvements.
Investigating, troubleshooting, and helping to resolve production or QA issues.
Improving the monitoring and alerting of the systems and the cloud environment.
Skills:
Knowledge of networking and ability to debug common network-related problems (tcpdump, wireshark…)
Experience configuring IPsec VPN tunnels and debugging
Experience with databases including MySQL
Experience with web servers (nginx, haproxy)
Experience with source code management tools
Good scripting skills (python, bash, groovy, ruby)
Understanding of developer tools and languages (Gradle, Java)
Experience with configuration management (puppet, ansible) is a plus
Experience with cloud (AWS, Rackspace, Softlayer, GCE) is a plus
Ability and willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment
Flexible with the ability to adapt working style to meet objectives
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate with team members
