We are looking for a mid-level developer who specialises in C# ASP.NET and has a passion for building great products with solid engineering practices using the latest tools, technologies and best practices.

You would be working predominantly as a backend developer within our Cashless product team, working closely with other developers, QA engineers and the team’s product manager to deliver changes and new functionality. You would be involved in planning new work and helping the product manager decide what the team should be working on to achieve the team’s goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing, building and maintaining high performance, reliable applications
Writing good quality, maintainable, reusable and unit-tested C#.Net code following best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement and ship new features

YOUR ATTITUDE
You’re someone who’s smart, organised, motivated and gets things done. You want to work in a startup environment, because you like the idea of doing a bit of everything and taking ownership of what you work on. You have ideas about everything, and you’re not afraid to argue your point (while respecting everyone else’s of course). You’re constantly thinking “how can we do this better?”. You have the experience and aptitude to provide direction for other staff, to help develop your product sub-team and improve the team as a whole.

METHODOLOGY
We believe in agile development processes and our teams are collaborative, product focussed, cross-functional units that are empowered to define their own work and organise themselves. We work incrementally and dedicate time to ensuring that our work is technically strong, using the latest tools and technologies where possible. We like to build fast, scalable, easily maintainable applications using whichever tools are right for the job. Most of all, we like to deliver! We believe in manageable chunks of work with continuous integration and delivery to enable fast shipping, so that we’re always making progress.

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of working with C# ASP.NET with strong knowledge of the framework and design/architectural patterns
Experience building APIs using ASP.NET Web API
Knowledge of SQL
Confident with Git
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with continuous integration and build systems
Experience with the Entity framework would be beneficial
Have a computing or software engineering degree or applicable commercial engineering experience
It would be great if you’d had experience as a developer in the travel, music, e-commerce or ticketing industries before, but it’s not a requirement
