Role:
Materials Research Engineer to form part of our R&D team.
Description:
We are looking for someone that thinks outside the box and can use their technical background and R&D experience to design new material combinations and troubleshoot processes and/or applications. Our company’s goal is to innovate, so in addition to the knowledge needed for the role, the employee has to be able to design and conduct experiments to assess the viability of new moulds, processes, and/or different combinations of equipment.
Requirements:
- Strongly motivated to protect the environment through design, using his/her skills to support sustainable development in the plastic packaging industry.
- Work experience in the plastic packaging industry and/or extensive knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes. He/ She must understand how plastics (or other related polymers/bio-polymer based materials) are processed, shaped, moulded, manufactured, and processed in the environment.
- Degree in design, engineering, chemistry, and/or any related subject, in which material manufacturing processes have been studied in detail.
- Good team fit and can-do attitude. We are a small and close-knit team, looking for someone to complement the skills of our other team members and promote company innovation through product-focused R&D.
Desired:
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish (C1, C2)
