Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Sales Executive for our start-up in growth mode, located in Barcelona to start asap. We are developing and selling the next generation of water filters, which save money, offer convenience and have a big positive impact on the environment. Our ambition is to build a billion euro business within 5 years.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an entrepreneurial start-up spirit and strong analytical mindset and share our passion for the environment. We need someone who is hands-on, well organized and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced international environment.


> Responsible for marketing and sales for TAPP Water worldwide
> Manage the marketing and sales team, strategy, planning, and execution > across Spain, Italy, Germany, the US, and Canada (with more markets added over time).
> Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
> Help plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including online, print and above the line marketing together with the Head of Online Marketing and each Market Lead.
> Provide input and strategic recommendations on brand, product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share and profitability.
> Identify and test new growth opportunities.
> Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions and products, including monitoring competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
> Make sure we maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events across channels and markets.
> Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
> Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets. Undergo sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
> Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
> Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly cadence.
> Creation of personas, identify customer journey touchpoints online and offline, post-sales strategy.
> Direct staffing and prioritization for the sales & marketing team, as well as training and performance evaluations.
> Partner closely with the executive management team to develop and optimize our product portfolio and sales and marketing strategy.


We are looking for a creative thinker with 10 years experience who can think big but also shift gears and get the work done. As with any start-up we all do a bit of everything and we learn along the way but you need to have sufficient background and expertise on the following:

- Experience in consumer product marketing in an international environment.
- Experience in Digital, Below the Line and Above the Line marketing.
- Experience in creating marketing plans.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to draw out key insights and solutions to problems.
- Have a conversion approach to marketing (cost per lead, cost per new customer, etc).
- Excellent team management, project and time management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion about what you do, and ability to drive that passion into other team members.
- Culture-fit: problem solver, self-starter, analytical, open-minded, willingness to have a positive impact on the planet.
- Excellent English skills, Spanish is a plus.
