The Role
Taiger seeks a Junior NLP Research Engineer to
join our international team. The successful candidate will propose and
develop cutting edge software modules in the context of public funded
research projects, both national and international. Your main duties
will be:
- Keep track of state-of-art technologies in NLP and Semantic technologies.
- Propose technological solutions.
- Develop and test software modules.
- Coordinate with our partners, both academic institutions and private companies.
- Write deliverables.
- Present and defend the implemented solutions.
- Assist in the integration of the developed software modules into the company's products.
- Propose new R&D projects and assist in the writing of the project proposals.
Your Background
- At least 1 year of experience working in public funded research projects.
- Passion for technology.
- Strong problem solving skills and a high degree of creativity / resourcefulness.
- The candidate must have a high level of English, written and spoken.
- Master in Natural Language Processing
- Java development with Maven
- Knowledge about NLP processes
- Semantic annotation of documents
- Ontology management and construction, reusing freely available ontologies
- Knowledge of Semantic Web standards (RDF, SPARQL)
- Triple stores (Virtuoso/Blazegraph/Sesame/RDF4j)
- Willingness to learn about other technologies related to NLP, Machine Learning and Big Data
Your Awesome Background
- PhD in Natural Language Processing with a focus on semantic technologies
