MPower Ventures, a Zurich and Madrid based impact start-up in
the energy access area (www.mpower.africa), is looking for an
independent and entrepreneurial Junior Front-End Developer. This is an
opportunity in a fascinating and rapidly growing field and in a start-up
environment.
We are looking for a Front-End Web
Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of
programming. Responsibilities will include translation of
specifications, ideas and wireframes to actual code that will produce
visual elements of the application. You will work with the back end and
full stack developers and bridge the gap between graphical design and
technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and
defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
*Responsibilities*
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
*Skills And Qualifications*
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML, CSS3
Experience in Angular2+ and Ionic frameworks.
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools
Proficiency in English (Spanish not required)
The
position is based in Madrid and reports directly to the CTO. The ideal
candidate would also bring a keen interest or first experience in
machine learning, IoT or blockchain.
