The opportunity

To stay at the top of our game, we are consistently exploring new technologies to improve our products - and our customers’ experience of those products. To that end, we need a new creative and dedicated Front End Developer who wants work on single page applications using modern front end technologies.

We need a Front End Developer who is seeking a meaningful and challenging change. Someone who wants to jump into a virtual playground, get to know our products and rebuild them in a way they envision it. This is a move for someone who wants to have the freedom to make design choices and introduce modern, responsive user-friendly processes and models.

Where are you now?

You are working as a Front End Developer for a small-to-mid-sized organization using Javascript and JS frameworks. You might be in the early days of your career there and you want a chance to prove yourself. Or, you might be more experienced but stuck working in older technologies, siloed off from what the architects, backend and product teams are working on. You are enthusiastic about the user experience and excited to try new ideas and concepts. You want to join a team that will allow you the freedom to take risks, learn as you so and drive your own deliverables.

What will your career path look like?

The experience you gain here, working independently yet as part of a tightly knit scrum team will result in greater exposure to new technologies, processes and people across the greater organization.

As we grow, your role will be pivotal to the product suite we are working on. It is a chance to directly impact the design and the direction of our product front end and to grow with a rapidly developing team.

Here’s what our Front End Developer will do:

• Build. You will work as part of a scrum team on full lifecycle front-end development for the Voyanta product.
• Champion. You will introduce original ideas and best practices to Improve the front-end functionality and user experience.
• Quality. You will conduct code review and testing
• Create. You will be responsible for estimation and design of new front end features and upgrading existing ones.
• Collaborate. You will be part of an Agile team and work closely with Development and Product team.

How do we know that’s you? You have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related numerate discipline.
• Three years experience as a Front End Developer as part of an Agile scrum team.
• Hands on expertise with JavaScript
• Nice-to-have exposure to:
  • Angular
  • Wijmo
  • React.js
  • D3.js
  • Front End Testing
• An innovative approach. You insist on keeping up with industry standards and trends. You are adept at thinking of all possible answers.
• A strong sense of ownership. You thrive in an autonomous yet collaborative environment. You are committed to doing your best work.
• Enthusiasm. You have a GitHub account or other personal projects on the go.
• Initiative. You are highly capable of meeting deadlines. You are customer-focused and self-motivated.
• Outstanding communication skills. You are able to clearly present ideas and concepts within and across a multi-functional team.
