IT Technical Support Specialist in Barcelona

We are looking for an IT Technical Support Specialist who will be integrated into a DevOps team. The chosen candidate will provide technical support to our internal customers (employees). A background in engineering or IT support is required.

Main responsibilities:

• Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
• Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications
• Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues

Key Competencies:

• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven working experience in enterprise technical support, IT support or as a technical engineer
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, utilities and scripting
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Not afraid to be hands-on when necessary
• Communication skills - verbal and written
• Planning and organizing
