About the role
We're
now seeing explosive demand for our services. We need to scale our
startup. Fast. And this is where you come in. We’re looking for an iOS
Support Engineer to work within our highly-experienced team to expand
our SaaS platform in an innovative and fast-paced Agile environment. The
consumer shift to apps is happening right now. Be part of the app
revolution in retail.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing platform/infrastructural services
- Providing high-quality technical support for the Poq platform
- Taking ownership of technical issues and working with our Development group to resolve more advanced issues
- Using
cutting edge technologies in the iOS platform to deliver and stabilise
key product features that a million monthly active shoppers use.
- Introducing best practices around continuous integration and deployment of iOS application
- Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
- You'll
add new functionality and improvements to the app platform, and then
hook these up to the cloud via the Developer Centre and CMS. You'll
collaborate with clients and designers to deliver amazing apps for top
retailers and you'll work on a platform written in pure Swift.

ideal candidate for this role has an eye for design and is passionate
about building apps that act fast, don't crash and look beautiful.

Training
Want
to join Poq but don't have any experience coding in Swift? Don't worry,
for talented Objective-C developers, your first two weeks will be spent
completing an online Swift course, you will do this from our Shoreditch
office so you will have the support of our team and can start getting
to know our systems.
What we’re looking for
- Development language: Swift, Objective C
- 3+ years of iOS Development experience
- Proficiency in Auto Layout
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Experience in building and deploying application in a cloud environment (Azure experience will be an added benefit)
- Prior DevOps experience in a cloud based environment
- You will have published at least one native app in the App Store
- GitHub source control and Continuous Integration
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

- Computer Science/STEM degree or equivalent in work experience
- Experience in memory optimisation, animations
- Experience in architecting, designing and developing complex apps
- Test-driven development (TDD)
- Interaction design / User experience (UX)
