Job Description

WorkOn is a revolutionary online marketplace for fitness professionals to sell highly-personalized programs at scale.

Our mission is to make expert training accessible to everyone.

We are working with a range of professional coaches and athletes to prepare their programs for our launch. A big part about what we are doing is supporting the content creation for our coaches and athletes and as such we want to be able to provide video overviews of the programs.

We realize this is no easy feat and we feel that bringing on a third co-founder to drive the production is the best approach for us in the long-term.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Videographer/content-creator/production manager to join our founding team. Working collaboratively with the other two cofounders you will have the responsibility of driving WorkOn's creative execution and output: and working in close partnership with professional athletes and coaches to deliver content and marketing materials globally.

Disclaimer

Right now, we are in the process of raising our initial Seed Investment. This means until the money is in the bank that we are unable to offer a salary. As soon as we have closed the round, we are absolutely offering a paid position.

Responsibilities

A varied role including but not limited to the following:

Planning/Resourcing:

- Ownership of internal creative resource allocation, process, execution, and performance: assessing and delivering on production needs.

- Responsible for monitoring production tools and workflows across multiple projects

- Ensure all project deadlines are adhered to and the team are working efficiently including scheduling creative reviews and routing approvals and feedback.

- Forward planning of (current and future) projects to ensure resourcing is effective and the team are being utilised to their full potential (and their specific skill set)

Team Leadership:

- We want someone to come in and grow the team. We envision having the production arm of our business as a core component to what we do and therefore we want someone who can come in and start building the team from the ground up. You will need to get your hands dirty initially.

Project Management:

- Hands-on ownership and delivery of key projects across a number of stakeholders.

- Identifying the scope of new projects. Allocating resources and collaborating with extended project teams to realize projects from briefing through to final production.

Creative Production:

- Working closely with our team of athletes and coaches to manage pre-production inc. sourcing casting, booking creative talent, locations, production teams, styling, H&MU, travel

- Coordinating pre-production meetings and routing all approvals prior to shooting

- Managing shoot logistics and attendance, ensuring shot count/ deliverables are fulfilled

- Negotiating usage, costs and timing. Carefully managing master shoot budgets

- Managing post-production schedules including retouching, editing, master artwork files.

Professional Relationships:

- Lead strong relationships with external agencies and partners, internal/ external teams while managing multiple work-streams with competing priorities

Budget Management:

- Monitor project costs (including freelancers, expenses, travel costs) in line with production progress and overall approved budgets

Asset Management:

- Responsible for visual assets and maintenance of the creative server, ensuring all final assets are correctly saved, filed and named by the team (and freelancers)

- Keeping detailed records and updated databases, understanding and informing the wider team of usage rights and any other potential legal concerns

- Maintaining orderly job folders and planning documents

Requirements

- Entrepreneurial spirit, growth mindset, and collaborative nature is a must. A “player-manager” who can drive projects on their own, but also jump into hands-on execution where needed

- If you have your own equipment that's a plus but not a necessity.

- Experience in a Production Management role.

- Demonstrable experience of delivering a broad range of creative projects including brand activations, advertising, physical events, digital creation and social assets

- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with partners, cross-functional teams, producers, creatives and senior management, both written and verbal

- Exemplary organisational skills, with solid experience of utilising scheduling, project and resource management tools, and of managing multiple projects simultaneously

- Calm under pressure, resourceful and a creative problem solver, used to working to strict deadlines and on own initiative

- Working knowledge of technical implications of photographic/film/video equipment, lightning and post-production processes and how they may affect production and budget

- Experience hiring freelance producers and creative artists, negotiating with recruiters to ensure rates are competitive and all relevant paperwork/ contracts are in place

- Act as a brand ambassador, consistently connecting and networking with relevant people/brands for future opportunities

- A love for health, fitness and all things creative.
