The first vertical so-sure is tackling, is mobile phone insurance and we are going to soon be expanding lines into home insurance.
We are looking for a Head of Growth. This role is in our growing team of 12 in our London office (Aldgate East), this role reports into the CEO.
You will own the paid performance of the business, balancing the need for growth with the need for effectiveness, especially in CPA. You will provide a relentless focus on metrics and data driven decision making, combined with a killer marketing instinct and gut-feel that makes you a success. Together with the senior management team, you will also be involved in guiding the wider performance of so-sure, helping to shape the direction of the business as it goes through the next stage of its growth. A series-A investment round, expansion into a new geography and a new insurance consumer line (home/contents) to be launched in the latter half of the year.
Your experience will be current and forward thinking including success-tracking of marketing strategies, marketing communications, particularly in a referral based program, development and implementation of initiatives for lead generation and conversion within a CRM, public relations activities plus working with product management. You will also coordinate with the other functions of the organisation at strategic and tactical levels, the main one being customer service, and credibility building.
You are to be aware of the Company’s turnover and P&L targets and be aware of how the individual P&Ls feed into this.
Managing all paid media activity and budget allocation across paid search, SEO, paid social and other channels
Driving growth through organic channels
Defining channel strategies and managing a continuous, meticulously planned and documented testing plan with an focus on measurement and analysis
Delivering consistent channel growth and performance improvements, against key metrics and company targets
Devising messaging to resonate with customer emotions
Forecasting and deep diving into channel performance, process and operations to identify opportunities and constantly optimise spend and ROI
Developing segmentation and personalisation strategies based on customer profiling, purchase cycle and churn analysis
Leading a team digital performance agencies
Building the performance marketing infrastructure, such as reporting, process necessary to support growth
Manage and drive the customer service team with the customer service manager
Own the marketing budget
Worked in a B2C digital startup, ideally from seed through a VC-backed series A round and beyond
A proven Performance Marketer, deeply familiar with best practice and performance management of marketing channels
7 years+ of digital marketing experience, highly effective communicator able to clearly present complex and data rich proposals, both in written and verbal form - happy to present to the board and other stakeholders on a regular basis
Familiar with traditional digital marketing tools (e.g. Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Funnel analytics tools, Mixpanel)
Good excel abilities and comfortability with business intelligence tools, ability to develop formulas and build reports with a meticulous attention to detail
Previous experience managing a team but ready to be sleeves rolled up
Customer service experience a bonus
Prior use of Hubspot and Intercom will be advantageous
Top notch organisational skills and proven ability to manage an agenda of projects and initiatives in a fast paced environment.
