Wind is shaping the world into one with more sustainable urban living and less traffic congestion. We provide internet-connected scooters on every corner as a zero-emission last mile transportation solution that is both safe and fun.

We are looking for a Head of Expansion, to be responsible for guiding the launch strategy, and overseeing the operational establishment of cities, from logistics to government relations. The person in this role will build, develop, and lead a team of City Launchers that will help Wind land in new markets, build partnerships with local organizations and the community, oversee the initial operations, and train the local teams.

You are comfortable with an entrepreneurial role, leading teams in fast-paced and challenging environments, and designing and managing agile processes from being compliant with local requirements, all the way through to go-live.

Responsabilities
  • Define, plan and guarantee a seamless execution of the entire launch of Wind in new markets.
  • Leverage, optimize and enhance relationships with key strategic partners to drive business value.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment to overall strategy, direction and guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth relationships with local governments.
  • Guarantee efficient expansion processes: registration and permit process, hiring local operations team, engaging with vendors for fleet management, forecasting and ensuring delivery of scooters in the cities, building community of chargers and partnerships with local organizations.
  • Support the development of the communication strategy and plan to proactively engage key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 6+ years in a expansion role in a rapid growth start-up and with a robust people management experience, with some or all of that time in the shared economy/ logistics industry.
  • Strong business judgement and track record of excellence in execution.
  • Strong ability to base decisions on market data, insights from usage metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • MBA from a top school a plus.
  • Excellent English skills (other European language skills are a plus).
  • Strong interest in technology & mobility.
