Head of Engineering (f/m) in Berlin

Your mission:

• We are looking for an enthusiastic Head of Engineering / CTO to lead our team of 8 experienced Backend, Frontend, DevOps and QA engineers.
• In this highly visible position it will be your responsibility to define and maintain team processes focused on delivering quality software in time.
• Mjam Austria has its own independent food ordering platform, which means you are basically the CTO of our platform.
• You will work in close cooperation with the Head of Product defining roadmap priorities and creating solutions that fit our business needs.
• You will be the technical point of contact and the face of the platform to our Internal and External stakeholders.
• 99.99% uptime, steady feature development and a well-cooperating team are your main goals.
• You fully understand how technology powers the business

Your heroic technical skills:

• Good knowledge of modern Python and JS stacks.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience of leading and mentoring agile teams (Scrum, Kanban).
• You feel comfortable with legacy projects and you know how to improve them iterative way.
• You can break big technical projects in small deliverables, motivating your team from milestone to milestone.
• You have used best engineering practices and techniques in the past (TDD, CI, Git, AWS).
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• You understand why software testing is really important.
• You know how to setup, maintain, monitor, automatically deploy and scale Unix-based server infrastructure.
• You have significant experience as a team-lead of a larger team.
