Job Description

The Head of Content will be responsible for building the content model within a Content Management System (CMS) environment that will allow our team to author online education.

This role will also be responsible for team task management, managing project timelines and resources for multiple educational designers and producers.

In addition to being an organizational person, this role requires that you bring a deep empathy for our customers, a creative mindset and approach to problem-solving, and a scrappiness to build solutions quickly and efficiently.

We want you to be proactive and not strictly tied to a job description, but there are some key things you will be doing:

  • In-depth understanding of the current market content trend and develop a content strategy
  • Develop and implement overall strategy for editorial, product, and visual content and be on top of the trend for the content development team
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize language style guides, templates, and workflows
  • Oversee and manage content/editorial calendar
  • Overall project management of hundreds of pieces of education content, developing and supporting project timelines and deliverables within task management software
  • Advice on content operations and content governance best practices to ensure cross-functional visibility, appropriate resourcing, and effective deployment of resources
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers and Education Content Producers to develop both an empathetic and data-driven deep understanding of drivers and how best we can support them.
  • Managing third party content sources and content editors freelancers.
  • Partner with the Product team to ensure alignment between the CMS and front-end solutions (in-app, web/mobile surfaces/etc).

We believe in people with potential, but this is what we expect that you have already achieved:

  • 5+ years proven experience in taking a CMS from implementation to go-live, with the full integration of a net new content model designed to allow educators to author content
  • History of content management database organization and upkeep, keeping the stacks clean and orderly to promote ease of discovery and updates
  • A knack for organization, order, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Expertise in the project management of creative/educational projects and assets, as well as working with creatives/educators to develop solutions that meet their use case
  • Demonstrated history of collaboration with Learning Designers and Education Content Producers and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority
  • Able to work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Compassionate, customer-centric mindset

We want you to come to visit us and "feel" the culture, but we want to let you know what you can expect:

  • A transparent work environment with diverse, autonomous and goal-focused teams. Working in an international, vibrant and fast-paced company
  • Team breakfast every Friday
  • Spanish and English classes for everyone
  • Flexible working hours
  • Half/day Fridays
  • Team building activities
  • Free beverages (fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juices)
  • Discounted gym access: Exercise your muscles as well as your brain!
  • Flexible Retribution (kindergarten check, food check, transport check, and health insurance)
  • You'll enjoy a longer maternity/paternity leave
  • Massage therapy
  • Extended holidays.
