Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Artist & Label Marketing to join our Artist & Label Marketing team. The role can be based in Madrid or Milan. The role is about ensuring that key artists, managers, and labels see Spotify as the #1 partner for artist development and monetization. Focusing on the Southern & Eastern European music landscape, you will work closely with the team to lead local strategic initiatives as well as with your international counterparts to manage global campaigns and artists’ relationships.

You will also employ this local and global network to further Spotify’s marketing and distribution initiatives to the mutual benefit of Spotify and its industry partners. Most importantly, you have fun at work and you have a desire to be creative and make a positive impact on the music industry as a whole.

What You’ll Do
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal teams to fulfil company strategic goals and cross-functional projects
  • Manage a team of Artist & Label Marketing managers in the region and coordinate initiatives across the different markets making sure all the local key partners and labels are adequately represented. Top markets to manage will be Italy, Spain, Turkey, Poland and Israel but more initiatives in other markets in the region might require additional travels.
  • Support the MD in understanding and building the overall content strategy
  • Support the team in enabling artist and artist-fan engagement with Spotify
  • Work in partnership with the local and global editorial teams to ensure content strategies are localized and successfully implemented
  • Keep track of artist campaigns across the region and identify best practices and key levers to success. Build business cases and analyze regional trends in order to elevate local team’s narratives both internally and externally
  • Advocate for Spotify’s interests and initiatives externally within the creator community
  • Ensure Spotify has the best possible content offering in your territories and use this to further Spotify’s appeal to existing and new users
  • Attend events, conferences, and shows. Travel required.


Who You Are
  • You have 15+ years experience with an established digital music service, record label or at a media company in the region
  • You have a strong content and technology background. You also have a deep understanding and a consistent record in music and creators marketing and operations
  • You are fully conversant with the latest digital marketing techniques
  • You are a strong people manager, and have experience leading teams
  • You have excellent negotiating, presentation and people skills
  • You are adept at content management systems and supply chain processes
  • You are numerate and adept at analyzing and interpreting data and using it to set goals
  • You are well organized, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay exceptional attention to detail
  • You have experience of working across multiple markets and within local and global teams
  • You possess a perfect level of written and spoken English. Spanish and Italian language skills are a plus
  • Finally, you’re a great teammate, adapt well to change, and always have a positive attitude
