This is a senior leadership role within Skyscanner. You will be
responsible for leadership of a tribe, alongside product and engineering
counterparts to deliver against the company’s long term vision. You
will be an established app growth expert, with proven depth and breadth
of expertise across the growth levers and a confident data-led
decision-maker.
Success in this role would include:
- Setting out a clear shared vision for the tribe which aligns
product, growth and engineering squads and individuals towards shared
goals
- Prioritising delivery towards these goals in a clear data-led way focused on impact on our north star metric
- Building a strong and impactful team, with the relevant skillsets to deliver against the tribe goals
- Building empathy and mutual understanding between product and growth
individuals within the tribe and forging a culture of collaboration
- Developing long term, scalable solutions which embrace an agile and lean approach and a test, learn, scale mentality
- Building strong working relations at all levels within the company
together with a clear understanding of the collaboration and dependency
needs of different tribes
- A strong grasp of the needs of our travellers and using this knowledge to win in each market
You will be:
- Proven track record of managing app marketing activities, app referral programs, and having worked in an app only business
- Proven track record of driving significant app growth with low CLV
- Great understanding of the complex App market place and its limitations
- Operational knowledge of the best tools / solutions to accelerate app growth / shrink limitations
- In depth experience in more than one App Growth related specialisms, such as ASO, APP SEO, Paid app acquisition, App re-engagement and on-boarding, Web to App growth techniques etc
- Good understanding of challenges related to Product Market Fit, growth at scale, localisation of product
- Growth hacking mentality; Product led, data driven, highly creative
- Proficient in a range of tools across the marketing stack, including Tableau, Mixpanel, Appflyer, Google Analytics
- Even better if you have basic programming skills in the likes of SQL & Python to start taking this to the next level
- Understanding of a 2-sided marketplace and how to drive growth among 2 or more distinct user groups
- Experience of working in a lean and agile environment with hands on experience of relevant techniques and tools
- Self-driven.
You have fantastic organisational skills, integrity and great follow
through on tasks. You don’t get overwhelmed easily
- Naturally curious. You’re innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimise
- Previous
significant experience in leading teams, impactful prioritisation of
app marketing activities, on-boarding and educating others on app best
practices
- Specific regional app knowledge related to one of these regions: APAC, EMEA , Americas
