and graphic databases. Our product is map based and the data displayed
in it is geolocated, so maps is in our DNA. You would help bridge the
connection between product and data, and build performant systems to
display map based statistics that are accurate and fast.

At
Geoblink we use some of the latest technologies to find solutions to
some very hard problems We leverage GIS technologies and Big Data to
create a beautiful map-based user interface that provides a rich user
experience. We have fun solving interesting challenges! Our systems are
built using an SOA approach that allows us to perform multiple
deployments per day. We <3 monitoring, pull requests, continuous
deployment and automated testing. The trunk of our stack is PostgreSQL,
Node.js and Angular running on Azure, but our architecture is
language-agnostic. We move fast but put a lot of thought into the design
of our architecture so that it’s simple and scalable. We write clean,
flexible code to produce great software that solves the needs of our
clients.

Requirements:
BS or MS in science or engineering degree related to GIS
Coding skills, have at least some experience with Python, Javascript, Ruby or Java
Experience working with a code repository like Git or Subversion
Hands on experience with at least one graph database. Expertise with Neo4j is a plus
Hands on experience with a geospatial data system like GeoServer
Hands on experience with a relational database that supports location data like PostGIS
Able to explain what you did during the weekend in English
Experience with web technologies is a plus
Any published open source code is a plus
You will:
Design,
configure and maintain the GIS related systems used at Geoblink and the
cartographies for the different countries we support
Create processes to maintain such systems and automate tasks when possible
Work
closely with the rest of the team including Data Scientists and Back
End engineers to understand the problems that touch GIS systems and find
optimal solutions
Work
closely with the Product team to define, implement and deliver maps
related features like new coropleths, routing algorithms or changes to
cartography
Get involved in DevOps and Infrastructure tasks including infrastructure configuration and GIS systems administration
Coach and mentor other team members to create a culture that fosters collaboration and personal growth

about maps and representing in 2 or 3 dimensions the world that
surroundes us. You have strong opinions every time you look at the metro
map
