Full Stack Web Developer in London or Remote

We are looking for a full stack web developer.

Our flagship apps - Zombies, Run!, Racelink, and The Walk – combine innovative real-world interaction and gameplay with captivating stories and design. In short, we make exercising fun. We want to find someone who can help us improve our existing apps and develop new experiences that are just as revolutionary and innovative.

We are open to candidates working remotely.

As web developer at Six to Start, you will be primarily responsible for sustaining and improving the infrastructure that powers Racelink and Zombies, Run!, apps with over 3 million downloads.

You’ll be enabling the native mobile clients, along with maintaining and developing independent user-facing applications. You’ll need to be able to work independently and be happy taking initiatives on features. Most importantly, it’ll be very important to manage complexity and technical debt with confidence while developing at a rapid pace.

While there is a lot of responsibility in the role, you will have an abundant amount of freedom in implementation and if wanted, a strong voice in the outcome of finished products that will roll into the arms of the product’s many fans.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Comfortable developing functional websites using modern JavaScript practices
• Experience implementing and consuming traditional REST services
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Postgres is used primarily), and some knowledge or a keen attitude to learn noSQL databases
• Must be comfortable administrating and caring for linux servers
