Globechain has an open position for a self-motivated, highly skilled
senior engineer to work for a marketplace that connects corporates to
charities and SMEs to reuse unwanted items, creating social impact data
for its members.

You will be expected to review the existing architecture of the site,
create a global, scalable framework for future growth and collaborate
with other non-technical members of the team. Data is a large part of
the marketplace, so experience (5+ years) working with building
databases and reporting mechanisms is critical
Responsibilities
• Understand how Globechain’s current systems operate, are structured,
and how customers across countries use them
• Improve upon current system to develop new design features and
architecture
• Collaborate with other team members to define plans for standardizing,
scaling, and streamlining our products
• Based on client feedback, independently propose and spearhead IT
projects to increase our market reach and improve USP
Skills and Experience
• 5+ years software engineering and IT experience
• Full Stack; Javascript, PHP,React
• Experience building all system design and changes in system
architecture
• Ability to communicate effectively, not only to understand the business
needs, but also to proactively advance our architectural vision
• Experience in recruiting, managing and building a strong technical team
• Experience in scaling start up environments
• Take initiative in leading, innovation and strategy
• Knowledgeable of technology landscape and advancements
• Ability and energy to work with a small growing team to build a global
business
• Project management and organisation skills
