Typeform was founded by two designers looking to rid the web of boring forms and disjointed user experiences.
Now, we look to design the future of
data collection. Will it be voice? More chatbots? Telepathy? Whatever it
is, we’ll keep people at the heart of it all—by making it
conversational.
That’s where you come in. We need a
Frontend Engineer to improve our design system—and empower designers and
developers to build the next-gen Typeform.

Typeform’s design system is a tool
for designers and developers to build our product in a consistent,
scalable, efficient way. You’ll shape the ever-growing library of React
components used in our product, improve the system, and big it up within
our engineering and design teams.
The Role
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Work with our design system engineer to develop new components and continuously improve the system as a whole.
- Speak to product designers to understand new requirements.
- Build relationships with engineering teams to understand how they use the design system.
- Address pain points, quality issues, and barriers to people using the system.
- Think one step ahead to make sure the system meets future design and engineering needs.
- Eat tasty lunches on our sunny roof terrace.
You
Here’s what we’re after:
- You love communicating with people from different disciplines and understanding their problems.
- You value the importance of design, consistency, and user experience.
- You like to innovate, experiment, and run with ideas.
- You have good knowledge of Javascript, React, and CSS
- You approach development with quality as a priority.
- You show maturity in tradeoffs, make sound decisions, and plan well.

- You’re an empathetic person with a big appetite for success.
And for some added bonus points:
- You’ve used, contributed to, or built a design system in a professional environment.
- You’re comfortable with Javascript testing tools and writing unit tests.
