We’ve been rapidly growing over the last year and recently closed a
$1.1m funding round (it’s £850k, but $1.1m sounds so much cooler doesn’t
it) to fuel our global expansion. We’re now searching for a backend

We’re a young team who strongly believes in making your work a

We are looking for a junior / mid-level frontend developer to take
ownership and responsibility over CityStasher’s website and native apps
(both React and React Native).
You’ll be the main person responsible for maintaining the frontend
functionality of our applications as well as creating new features to
fuel growth. The role will have a lot of autonomy and you’ll work
directly with the Head of Product at CityStasher. Curiosity is really
valued - we’re always looking for motivated people who are keen to
learn. You’ll also have a large say in what we build and anything
related to our product.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Building on and maintaining our website, apps and dashboards in React and React Native.
- Helping us improve our SEO rankings mainly using server-side
rendering (as a tourism consumer business SEO is really important!).
- Building widgets to integrate into partner sites.
- Maintaining the continuous integration & deployment processes.
- Playing a major role in developing our product vision.
Your Skillset:
- 1-2+ years experience working with React in a frontend role
- Proficient knowledge of modern frontend Javascript frameworks, in particular React (React Native a definite bonus!)
- Thorough understanding of web technologies & protocols such as
HTTP, HTML, and CSS (including css extension languages like Sass).
- Good understanding of web app architectures, including RESTful API design and working knowledge of microservices / SOA.
- Working with APIs to build customer facing applications.
- Reasonable knowledge of backend technologies (databases, python, APIs).
- Using Git for version control.
