Front End Software Engineer in Madrid

The ISS department is made up of several teams: Infrastructure and Operations, Support - Front Office, Business Solutions, Business Relations Management and ISS Processes and Performances. Combining their knowledge of IT technologies and business processes, the ISS teams design and delivers efficient solutions to support our business objectives and provides services in line with SLAs agreed with our customers.

They build and maintain a partner relationship with business groups and support them in bringing innovative IT-related solutions to market.As a Web Software Engineer in the Business Services Delivery team, you will be the technical authority on corporate applications of the information system of Gemalto.

You will be the main technical interface who will directly support functional teams to design solutions that will secure business of Gemalto.

A week in the life of a Web Software Engineer:

• You will actively support functional teams during pre-study or acceptance phases.

• You will analyze solution requirements to identify the best technical approach for Gemalto.

• You will be responsible for the estimate, the design, the implementation and the deployment of software components or complete solutions.

• You will ensure the technical consistency.

• You will apply and contribute to improve the Gemalto Quality System Product Lifecycle, Software Lifecycle and Custom Development Lifecycle to increase agility of the team (continuous integration, software configuration management, test automation …)

• You will coach junior developers to increase their knowledge and improve their practice in development activities.

• You will forecast technical activities.

• Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• To succeed at this job, you must have more than 5 years’ experience with software and system designs; modeling language such as UML; experience with programming language such as Java, C/C++/C#, PHP, .NET; experience with web technologies such JSP/Servlet, HTML, XML and SOAP; knowledge of databases such as, ORACLE, MYSQL or DB2; knowledge of application servers.

• It would be preferred if you have experience with Agile methodology and scalability, Confluence and JIRA, SQL Server Integration Services and BI Cubes.
• You need to have the ability to understand and master cross applications topics and interfaces.
• You must be fluent in English (B2).
