Simudyne empowers organisations to understand every decision they
make. Our technology allows modellers and strategists to build the world
from the bottom up. A high fidelity virtual environment to run every
possible version of the future at scale. We call it amplified
intelligence.
We are rapidly expanding our London office to keep up with the
demands of developing technology which has never before existed. We like
people who are comfortable approaching new problems every day and want
to join our mission.
We're not short of challenging problem domains to tackle; providing
users with best-in-class tools to represent their mental models,
distributing their computations seamlessly across clusters, automating
exploration of their models, and displaying the output clearly and
intuitively.
We're looking to hire an Engineering Manager. Your role will be to
help organise and grow our team of software engineers and to lead and
shape a culture of high-quality software development at Simudyne. You
will be responsible for the hiring, onboarding, mentoring, career
development and performance management of our engineers. We want you to
help us grow, both in terms of product and people.
You will work with our team to ensure high-quality software, to
inform and agree upon roadmaps, and then help execute those plans
through to delivery. You will oversee and assist in the development of
SDKs, APIs and services on the JVM, and the delivery of that software
into the enterprise market.
Core Competencies
• Proven management of cross-functional software engineering teams.
• A solid software engineering background, building software with an
agile methodology. Comfortable writing and talking about code in more
than one language.
• Project management experience, working across departments to inform
roadmaps and then communicate and manage effectively throughout the
delivery lifecycle.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, both for building a
rapport with the team as well as communicating with clients and other
areas of the business.
