21 Buttons is changing the fashion game - through technology and talent. It has become the leading fashion social network in Europe where more than 10 million users come to get inspired by their favorite influencers and friends’ ready-to-shop content. With over 20 million outfits shared globally, 21 Buttons allows anyone, no matter their audience size, to earn revenue from sharing their personal style.
Having launched our first country just over 3 years ago, and now with more than 4,000 influencers across the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain and the US, we are backed by several top-tier European VCs and growing faster than ever from our offices in Barcelona, New York and London.
We are looking for talented people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of the technology's greatest challenges and make an impact.
Our Engineering team kick-ass in the development of an innovative product that will be used by (hope!) billions of users.
We are looking for an engineering manager to join one of our Squads. As engineering manager, you’ll lead a team of approximately 6 engineers and you’ll be responsible for shaping key technical decisions as we scale to millions of users.
Our current stack focuses on Python, Kotlin, Swift, Java and React, but we like to focus on picking the right tools for the job. We also like to work following the best technical practices: automation, testing, code review, continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Responsibilities
Line-manage a cross-functional team of engineers (iOS, Android, Web and/or Backend) in the squad.
Perform 1:1 meetings with each of them, understanding their needs and helping them.
Be a hands-on manager spending half part of your time (or sometimes more) coding.
Take the personal development/growth of the team members at heart, coach them and set challenging objectives together.
Work closely with the recruitment team to hire and onboard new engineers.
Be an ambassador of the 21 Buttons culture and values.
Lead technical discussions and drive effective technical decisions covering the different areas.
Manage performance metrics of the applications.
