THE CHALLENGE
Over the past 10 years, the Eventbrite team has grown from a small but mighty group in San Francisco to a global community of 1000+ employees in over 12 countries. Our Briteling Experience team supports our domestic and international expansion and continues our investment in our #1 asset: our people (our “Britelings”). The experience Britelings have in the office is central to their productivity and engagement. The Director HR for Europe will lead the way across the organization to provide hands-on and strategic support to our Britelings and our leaders.

THE ROLE
 As Director, HR - Europe you will lead the HR team for Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, UK and Ireland) and manage a core group of HR Specialists.

YOU WILL

    • Lead the Human Resources organization for Europe to deliver state-of-the-art HR services to the business.
    • Manage a team of HR specialists across Europe. Provide mentorship and coaching to those direct reports.
    • Represent HR Europe in BX Leadership meetings and serve as the Sr. Business Partner to the HR Centre of Excellence team in the US.
    • Drive resolution of local employee relations issues.
    • Partner with Senior Leadership in geo on business needs and build HR strategies to support those needs, including performance management and talent assessments.
    • Implement effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change (e.g. internal growth, acquisitions, reorganizations, etc.).
    • Implement global HR programs in geo that drive local employee engagement and supports the company culture.
    • Partner with the Global Head of Recruiting to develop and execute recruitment and employment brand strategies for attracting and retaining top talent across Europe.
    • Partner with wider global (internal and external) HR leaders on the HR strategy based on business needs and external trends. Influence the organisation and the HR team to execute against that strategy.
    • Heavy travel required (~50%).

THE SKILL SET

    • Extremely strong business acumen and HR expertise, including European employment law, GDPR, mastery of local market data for compensation and benefits benchmarks.
    • 4-5 years experience working collaboratively in a 1,000+ employee global tech organization with a US headquarters.
    • Public company experience a must.
    • Excellent communication and cultural awareness skills. Strong command of European employment laws (German, Dutch, Spanish, Belgian, British and Irish employment law) a must.
    • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree required in HR or general management field.
    • Fluent in English plus at least one other language of the following: German, Dutch or Spanish.
    • Strong people management skills.
    • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
