Job Description

The candidate will be involved in all activities of the marketing and sales department, depending on his learning ability and performance. The practice period will provide the candidate with a 360º experience in digital marketing, with a special focus on the hotel industry and on conversion rate optimization technology and its techniques.

- You will provide strategic consultancy to hotels in order to help them to optimize their online direct sales, by taking the most out of all the tools available through the technological platform of Booklyng.

- You will assist, monitor, advise and optimize the online marketing campaigns created into the hotel website, aimed to improve its communication, usability and overall aimed to build a personalized customer experience.

- You will analyze the performance of the promotions and marketing tactics put in place with respect to the sales obtained.

- You will present and discuss (with our clients, the hoteliers) the results generated and provide proposals aimed to improve hotel direct sales.
- You will assist in the elaboration of professional reports and analysis of the visitors' behaviour on the webs of our clients, obtained from several sources in order to:

* Provide our clients with relevant information and understanding on how visitors behave in their websites, which is essential to know how to use Booklyng's technology to boost the conversion ratio of their visitors into sales.

* Provide new ideas on how to use the capabilities and tools of BOOKLYNG to increase their direct bookings.

- You will be involved in the development and implementation of the inbound marketing strategy of Booklyng aimed to obtain new customers (hotels) and business. This will involve several actions, such as the creation of high-quality content (writing professional articles), building online marketing campaigns through Google Adwords, Social Media, email marketing… You may also be required to attend professional trade fairs and events, possibly also abroad.


Knowledge of:

- Online marketing for hotels (SEO, SEM, Social Media, Online Reputation ...), including digital tools to drive traffic to the hotel website (Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, email marketing, Google Analytics, ...)

- Hotel distribution: online travel agencies, meta-search engines, specialized websites and technological tools of the travel sector (booking engine, PMS, channel manager ...), traditional travel agencies, etc.

- Analysis of data through Excel, or R - R Studio, Python or other similar tools.

- Ability to analyze the performance of hotel websites, definition and execution of strategies and campaigns aimed at increasing online direct sales.

- Knowledge of upselling and cross-selling techniques.

- Fluency in English. It is appreciated to have knowledge of Italian or other languages.

- Online sales techniques.

- Revenue management (price management)

You MUST have:

- Entrepreneur and proactive attitude, with a positive and teamwork spirit

- Availability to travel

- The possibility of signing a practice placement agreement with the university

- The duration of the minimum period of practice will be 4 months

- An assistance of about 300 euros per month, negotiable, is offered for transportation and food expenses.

- Travel or other expenses incurred during work trips will be paid by the company.

- Candidate learning is promoted by providing training material of the highest quality and economic value (above € 5,000 of market value) throughout the internship period.

- You will receive financial aid to practice sports in a network of sports centres in Barcelona and other cities in Spain.

- At the end of the practice period, the candidate may be offered the possibility to be part of the Booklyng team, with a competitive wage, depending on the results achieved.

You should be willing to live in Barcelona or Madrid (Spain)
