The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of digital marketing initiatives for softonic properties.  Utilising a range of performance marketing channels including email, push, paid search, social and PPC. This will assist in planning the media budget and managing agency relationships for paid media, as well as take a lead role in customer acquisition, segmentation and re-engagement marketing activities.

The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and hands-on problem solver with a proven track record of successfully managing performance marketing campaigns with proven results in acquisition and retention across digital channels.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining customer strategies, measuring performance and optimization of digital marketing channels in order to increase traffic, customer lifetime values, while documenting and building the required processes and frameworks.

Profile

  • Drive growth in both customer acquisition and retention. Positively impact KPIs such as revenue, post-download engagement, trial to paid conversion rates, etc
  • Support the marketing team to help reach the Softonic strategic goals as well as meeting/exceeding monthly and annual goals for the channel.
  • Develop a CRM roadmap/strategy that can support current business needs as well as outlining new requirements based on ‘future state’.
  • Set a consumer insight-based rationale and strategic framework for the promotional calendar as it relates to customer segments.
  • Develop and execute a plan for driving engagement of newly acquired customers
  • Make recommendations on campaign timing, length, sequencing and audience segmentation.
  • Conduct multi-variable testing for all marketing to ensure a positive user experience
  • Ensure diversification of member acquisition channels, while maintaining overall CPA goals
  • Work with editorial and content teams to develop and execute a plan for increasing customer engagement and re-engagement of lapsed members
  • Analyse and report on live and test marketing campaigns.  
  • Work closely with vendors, agencies,  and Softonic’s internal IT group to implement marketing campaigns

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience.  
  • 5-7 years of experience in performance marketing with an emphasis on data analysis and customer retention strategies.
  • Expertise across media platforms such as Facebook adManager, Criteo, etc.
  • Proficient with Google Fundamentals (Ads, Analytics, Marketing Platform, Campaign Manager); Google AdWords certification is a plus.
  • Experience in managing display advertising directly, particularly with regards to direct response campaigns, highly desired.
  • Experience managing agency relationships for paid media and content.
  • Past experience decreasing acquisition costs and increasing lifetime value.
  • Experience working with a Customer Data Platform or first-party data to gain insights and provide an actionable solution.
  • Ability to manage lists and segments within lists and database management skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and motivation to understand what drives consumer behavior through quantitative and qualitative data.
