We’re on the hunt for a passionate Moodle devops / developer to support, maintain and improve both Moodle community sites and infrastructure, and our CI infrastructure. This is a newly created role that will suit someone that loves a variety of responsibilities and working across multiple teams.

What your new job can look like…

Most days can involve a mix of:

  • upgrades to, and maintenance of, Moodle’s community sites
  • maintenance of our AWS kubernetes environment
  • assistance with Moodle user and developer documentation
  • assistance with the Moodle QA cycle
  • monitoring, troubleshoot and improvement of the integration team infrastructure and sub-products
  • reviews, integration and testing of code contributions
  • participation in Moodle development projects as required
  • collaborating with other developers across multiple dev teams
  • ...and having a laugh with your team...

Requirements

We'd love to meet you…

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Strong programming experience in a medium to large scale development environment with strong skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript and Ajax
  • Experience working with hosted infrastructure - AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of Git, GitHub and GitLab
  • Solid experience working with test frameworks and infrastructure - phpunit, Behat, Travis
  • Enthusiastic and approachable personality with the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with multiple stakeholders within a global team
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Fluency in English

Extra awesome if you:

  • End-user experience of Moodle
  • Moodle Development experience
