Job Description

At Typeform, we’re thinking about the future of data collection. Will it be all about voice? AR/VR? Holograms?

In any case, we’re set on doing what we’ve always done—making it more human. How? By helping makers and creators collect data in a conversational way.

Do you like interacting with humans as much as you do technology? Can you juggle effective software engineering and smart networking? Are you eager to teach customers and partners how to connect with our platform?

Developers creating cool stuff for Typeform are working at small, fast-growing startups. We’re launching the developer portal, and we need you to support and cultivate members of that community.

Here’s Jason, our Chief Platform Officer, to tell you more:

“Developers will be able to use almost everything in our product, as well as add new functionality to it. We need an advocate who can meet them and deliver a world-class developer experience.”

You’ll be the face of Typeform for media and events, and you’ll take a strategic approach to developing and maintaining integration partnerships. Community engagement is the name of the game.

We’re a small team, but integral to the future of Typeform. Get ready for tons of awkward high-fives.

The Role

Here’s what you’ll do here:

  • Create inspiring developer blog content to explain Typeform products.
  • Talk at developer conferences, meetups, and all kinds of events.
  • Collaborate with business development on technical issues in strategic partnerships.
  • Develop open source tools to make onboarding with Typeform a delightful experience.
  • Be a point of contact for Technical Customer Advocates when they have technical/developer issues.
  • Bring external feedback to our product development teams.
  • Team up with tech writers to make sure our developer documentation is always accurate.
  • Try to beat the high score on the arcade machine we built.

You

Can you check off all the following?

  • You’ve got 3-5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Your spoken and written English is the cat’s pajamas.
  • You love traveling and staying in hotels/Airbnbs (free miniature bottles of shampoo, anyone?)
  • You can code in various languages without prejudice.
  • You’ve spoken at software conferences, meetups, etc.
  • You’ve written for developer blogs.
  • You’ve got a robust professional network.
  • You build strong relationships because you’re friendly and approachable.
  • You’re comfortable managing yourself,  having a flexible work schedule, and changing hats throughout the day (figurative hats—they can be real if you want).
  • You love hanging around lots of developers and business folk (sometimes at the same time!) You’re eager to listen to and solve their problems.

Side Quests

These things aren’t essential, but we’d be impressed if you can complete them too:

  • You’re based in San Francisco, prepared to work remotely with our Barcelona HQ.
  • You’ve got experience with APIs—consuming and building them.
  • You’ve got business development experience.
  • You can show us some open source accomplishments.
