Job Description

Preply is looking for an experienced professional to join the Data Chapter and help us create multi-touch attribution models based on large volumes of information. You will be working in close coordination with our Growth Marketing team, Product Managers and the rest of the Data team.

Mission: Your objective will not only be to build LTV and marketing attribution models, but also define forecasting metrics for the company being able to modelize complex aspects like seasonality. The position will play a crucial role in understanding the marketplace liquidity and the right balance between our students and tutors. This knowledge will be leveraged to make actionable propositions to keep a healthy community.

We are willing to model the user LTV in the early stage of the user lifecycle in order to anticipate future trends and change marketing or CRM strategies to improve user experience.

Outcomes

    • Conduct exploratory data analysis;
    • Generate prescriptive insights – tactical and strategic insights to improve marketing effectiveness;
    • Use state of the art Data Science techniques for modeling marketing attribution, or forecast business metrics through ML methodologies;
    • Produce reliable predictive and prescriptive insights based on advanced statistical modeling including machine learning methodologies;
    • Select metrics and methods relevant for the insightful data analysis;
    • Launch and run A/B testing;
    • Advise, educate, and assist management and other professionals in working with and understanding organizational data

Competencies

    • A university degree in a quantitative field of study or equivalent;
    • 3+ years experience in Data Science;
    • Experience with marketing data analytics;
    • Experience with predictive modelling (statistical and/or machine learning tools);
    • A plus if you had been working on marketing attribution models and metric forecasting.
    • Test & learn attitude;
    • Proficiency knowledge of SQL;
    • Experience with scripting on Python and/or R;
    • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau);
    • Able to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
