Job Description

We have a huge need for curated, trustable, real time data in all the domains of the company. This is especially true (but not only) for the Risk and Customer Experience areas that are eager for data, dashboards and reports.

We are at the point of reorganising and professionalizing the Data / BI Department. Traditionally, our backend engineers have made their best to provide the required data. We haven’t had so far a team focusing exclusively and with deep knowledge in this area.

You’ll be the first person contributing full time to this incipient and almost green-field Data Department, bringing your knowledge, experience and communication and lead skills.

You’ll be working hand to hand with the tech founder of the Company to setup the Data Department of SeQura and providing data to all the company.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Help defining roles for required new team members and lead the hiring process.
  • Design, develop and maintain data tools, especially (but not only) the DWH.
  • Own and organise the reporting platform.
  • Own, develop and maintain the dashboard platform.
  • Deliver end-to-end analytics projects, including data ingest, data transformation and data visualisation.
  • Talk to all the business areas, understand their data needs, convert them into tech specifications and implement them.
  • Develop and communicate solutions and present them to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide end user support to other data engineers and analysts.

At SeQura, we believe that buying online should be as easy as it has always been in traditional commerce. One should try and touch the product he wants to buy before paying for it. This is how the free market has always worked. In this last decade we have seen how ecommerce has turned around this golden rule when it comes to buying. We think that's why many people still refuse buying online.

What we do is give shoppers tools with which they buy freely, without long processes, in more fair and transparent conditions, and without small print. The future of payment in ecommerce is in what is fair and transparent, in what is common sense.
