Job Purpose:

  • You will be responsible for the Health Data Store on our Platform. Ensuring the HDS is the unique source of truth of health data for all the digital solutions, internal and external of RDCP.
  • You will manage a product backlog, working with different stakeholders and prioritizing the work for a development team.
  • You will make sure robust data models and data access are available to ensure all the data flows and its related clinical and non-clinical information have been correctly stored and accessible in the Roche Diabetes Care Platform.
  • You will be responsible for the health domain data model that facilitates the storage of health information, having as reference most used clinical domain data models like HL7 Reference Information Model (RIM), OpenEHR, CEN ENV13606.
  • You will ensure the accomplishment of the interoperability clinical standard HL7 FHIR with the domain data model.
  • You will be part of a Global Digital team, collaborating across other teams to ensure successful solution delivery

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own the product backlog for the Health Data Store in RDCP.
  • Develops, owns, and executes the HDS roadmap, collaborating with stakeholders and customers across the organization to understand their needs, manage their expectations, consider impact of requests and specify new features and enhancements together.
  • Lead the design, implementation and evolution of the Roche Diabetes Care Platform Health Data Store to ensure that all products are built on the HDS data architecture and coding standards in cooperation with the architect and team members.
  • Lead the Health Data Domain governance, managing the data standards, policies and procedures needed to ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, security and accessibility; according to the Roche Diabetes Care quality and security standards.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development.
  • Specify immediate and strategic improvements to data products and create appropriate business cases to drive product enhancement.
  • Defines and implements the data access points for the different applications and consumers.
  • Supports and collaborates in the definition of the mapping to transform the data model into clinical interfaces, choosing the proper clinical standard and terminology to use.
  • Maintains the data catalogue well documented, updated and accessible for the different stakeholders.
  • Defines the data quality rules, data quality metrics and ensures quality is met.
  • Deliver effective training and communication on the data standards to multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Works with third party suppliers and consultants.

Key skills and Experience:

Minimum:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math or other quantitative field.
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • 4+ years of proven experience in data modelling, data architecting and databases storage design.
  • Experience in IOT and Data platforms or Data Hubs.
  • Experience in web services architectures
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services or Cloud technologies
  • Experience generating implementation guides for developers, clients and customers.
  • Experience and good knowledge in web services architecture
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams and 3rd party relationships
  • Experience as digital product owner
  • Good understanding of SCRUM methodology
  • Experience working with GitLab, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Independent judgment and decision-making ability
  • Good communication skills and excellent team collaboration

Preferred:

  • Experience in micro services, integration and cloud architectures, especially on AWS.
  • Experience in HL7 / HL7 FHIR.
  • Experience codifying clinical concepts with clinical terminologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, UCUM, ICD9, ICD10).
  • Experience working with HL7 Reference Information Model (RIM), OpenEHR, CEN ENV13606 or other clinical domains archetypes.
  • Good understanding of ESB architecture (Mirth/NextGen Connect, Rhapsody, Ensemble, MuleSoft, etc…).
  • Experience modelling healthcare interfaces using standards (HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR, DICOM).
  • DAMABook certification
  • Relevant work experience.
