We're looking for a CTO/Co-founder to join us in building a communication tool for planning trips with your travel buddies.
We're an early stage start-up who are launching our first beta at
the end of Sept. We're looking for a CTO to join us full-time within the
upcoming months. We are open to starting part-time for an initial trial
period.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the software development strategy for the product
- Communicate the software development strategy to external parties (partners, investors etc) as well as internal management
- Programming the product
- Manage the software development team, both the day-to-day
work as well as identifying the need for expansion and the hiring
process for new team members
- Implement work methodologies that are agile and efficient, always ensuring that the code is well-functioning on the long term
- Evaluate and implement new technologies/systems to ensure maximum efficiency (AI, deep learning, etc)
- Cooperate with the CPO in planning product releases
- Assist the CFO in making budget estimates for the software development department
- Supervise the technical support to users to ensure that they are satisfied with the technical aspects of the product
- Responsible for data security of the platform
Compensation
- Up to 25% equity
- Monthly salary (details discussed in interview process)
Basic requirements:
- Advanced level in at least 3 of the following: HTML5, CSS, Angular, Node or PHP, MySQL or MongoDB, Laravel
- Initiative taker and self starter
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Drive to always keep learning and improving
- Written and spoken proficiency in English
- Passion for traveling
Desired skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree within Engineering field
- 1+ years of experience with project management
- Full-stack developer
- Proficiency in any of the following: Gulp / Grunt / Webpack, LESS or SASS, Firebase, Symfony
