Job Description
As part of the Technology Development Team, the Cloud Infrastructure Manager oversees the design and implementation of the technical infrastructure that supports Olympic Channel Digital ecosystem; including but not limited to:
OTT video delivery infrastructureFront end applications (Web, Mobile and TV Apps)Back end systems.Cloud designs and deployments.Integration of third parties solutions and services.CIM must ensure that all services are delivered and maintained at the required quality standards supporting Operations and Support teams. The CIM will know the technologies and processes consisting the Olympic Channel digital environment. Must be motivated, well-organized, efficient trouble-shooter and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a single point of contact for all Cloud/infrastructure-related questions and issues.Support multiple deployment models including manual, scripted, DevOps, CI/CD/IaaC methodologies.Participate in the design of Cloud-based infrastructure solutions working alongside Cloud Architects and service domains (e.g., Web, Database, Storage, Networking, IAM) to ensure that initial and anticipated future business requirements are represented.Work with the PMO and Project Manager to define project scope, duration, resource requirements, and costs.Create a cross-functional infrastructure project plan that encompasses all of the tasks required to build-out/deliver the infrastructure. This includes dependencies and parallel tasks.Ensure that the technical artifacts required to implement infrastructure solutions are developed, reviewed and approved.Work with Information Security (InfoSec) ensuring that the proposed infrastructure solution complies with OCS Global Security Office policies.Project manage the build-out/delivery, which includes regular follow-up to make sure tasks are implemented per the agreed schedule and work with the team if issues are identified to get them resolved.Where possible, validate that the infrastructure solution matches the approved design.Handover the infrastructure solution to the Operations Team for validation and testing.Manage all post-handover configuration activities (e.g., account/user management, application registration, certificates, etc.).Status reporting throughout the project with appropriate Stakeholders, including meetings as needed to provide a forum for issue/risk identification and remediation, and to progress decisions needed throughout the engagement.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Skills
Deep knowledge in cloud deployments, in at least one of the principal public cloud providers, designing complex and secure architectures.Deep knowledge on OTT platforms, ABR protocols (HLS, Mpeg-DASH, CMAF)Internet video delivery standards and security (http, CDN, DRM…)Previous experience with Video encoding (LIVE and VOD), video platforms and infrastructure both on premises and on cloud.Deep knowledge of the whole stack including databases, protocols and web server optimization.Capable of leading technical complex projects throughout whole lifecycle.Knowledge on common mobile apps ecosystems (iOS, Android, Android TV, Apple TV, ROKU) and tools.Highly familiar with open source and commercial monitoring systemsExperience creating and maintaining documentationAny of the following area will be considered a significant plus:
Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and with common DevOps tools: Dockers/Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, GithubExperience on common Digital Marketing use cases (CRM notifications, AdOps, Customer Identity) and related technologiesExperience working and configuring CDN environments.Experience analyzing logs at low level to troubleshoot issues and find potential improvements.Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering and/or software development.Minimum 5 years of experience in one scripting or programming language.Previous experience working with cloud infrastructures (PaaS, IaaS, CaaS)Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.Education/Training
Computer/Telecom Engineering or related university degree requiredCloud Architect certifications/training desirable (e.g. AWS Professional, MCSA: Cloud Platform, etc.)Project Management certification/formation desirable (e.g PMP, PMI)Workplace & Environment
