The successful candidate will be comfortable with Machine learning techniques, advanced SQL query design and data mining techniques, have strong analytical and communication skills, and have a passion for using data to help drive business decisions. You are analytical and creative, and you don’t quit. You will blend advanced reporting with strong critical thinking. You attack complex business questions with data and curiosity, diving below the surface to identify the root cause and the “so what” rather than just superficial trends. You thrive by providing data-driven ideas that are timely, accurate, and potentially actionable.
Responsibilities:
· Play a lead role in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of extremely large scale, critical, and complex data structures for business intelligence analysis taking into account the long term impact and performance considerations
· Independently gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
· Identifying and developing data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunity. Implementing solutions once approved by the leadership.
· Dive deep into massive data sets to help answer key business questions using Machine learning, SQL and other data manipulation languages
· Work with product management, technology management, and other constituents to research issues, and implement process improvements.
· Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators by which Amazon BuyVIP will assess its performance.
· Develop and propose solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity
· Serve as an authority in the area of technical and domain expertise
· Lead, mentor, develop, and train junior data engineers
