The Business Intelligence team’s vision is to enable a data-driven decision-making culture at Stuart. The role will report directly to Alexander Sommer, BI Lead Engineering. As Stuart grows the team grows which means there's lots of room for real career development! 💫

What will I be doing? 🤔

    • Building data and analytic tools, or other analytic capabilities for business/product analysts and data scientists
    • Working closely with the data engineering team in adopting standards and implementing solutions for infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability as well as data quality
    • Evangelizing high-quality software engineering practices towards developing data infrastructure and pipelines at scale
    • Working in cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineers to understand data needs and deliver end to end solutions
    • Incident response, participating in on-duty rotation, and runbook contribution
    • Working closely with the Security and DevOps teams to ensure the security and scalability of the systems that your team owns
    • Communicate complex technical information to business stakeholders and project teams in an effective and concise manner

What do we need from you? 😎

    • 2+ years of experience working with big data systems and cloud architectures, preferably AWS and open source stacks (Redshift, Athena, EMR, Spark, Airflow, Kubernetes,...etc.)
    • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Looker or Power BI
    • Experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
    • Familiarity with the DevOps toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
