Backend Developer in Barcelona

We are looking for a Ruby backend engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and our apps. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the apps. A basic understanding of frontend technologies is therefore necessary as well. We are hoping to find someone who could easily jump into our code base and start developing straight away.

Basic qualifications

- Self-starter and motivated with ability to work in a fast startup environment
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms 
- Experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools 

Desired qualifications

- A minimum 1 year of experience in software design and application development
- Agile development of Ruby applications and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of RDBMS data models
- ElasticSearch and Redis
- Amazon Web Services
