Job Description

Do you love visualizing user interactions and experiences? Do you enjoy being part of a passionate team solving complicated technical UI problems and making real users' work easier? Then join our growing team of designers at New Relic.

As an Associate Product Designer, you'll play an instrumental role supporting and working with other designers in implementing feature and solution visions as we strive to define the way that developers and admins interact with New Relic. You'll work closely with designers and researchers as well as product language experts, working on producing visualizations, workflows, interactions and more. If you're adept in tools like Figma, are relentlessly driven, and a passionate user-advocate like us, you’d be a great fit for our team!

What you'll do

  • Work with designers to produce and refine details on user flows, interfaces, interactions, and overall experiences via mockups, diagrams, and prototypes
  • Work with engineers in the hand-off of designs and artifacts to ensure high-quality execution and user adoption as well as pixel-perfect results
  • Cultivate a developer-centric experience via the gathering of user research and analytics insights to ensure user needs are met
  • Apply both big-picture design thinking and attention to detail to complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Support design standards alongside an evolving design system and actively contribute to detailed specifications
This role requires

  • Expertise with design tools like Figma and whiteboarding workflows
  • Portfolio showcasing your best work generated from work or school
  • Knowledge of the product development process, from product thinking to visual and interaction design
  • Motivated and resilient self-starter who will work with cross-functional partners
  • Strong eye for visual design and a love for high-quality design
  • Ability to work with global teams distributed across different time zones
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities (English-language)

Bonus points if you have

  • Knowledge and understanding of big data visualizations, cloud-based services, SAAS, application performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience doing user testing and research
We're looking for bold and passionate people to be a part of our mission to create more perfect software. We'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement. What's most important to us is finding authentic and accountable people who feel connected to our mission and values, not just candidates who check off all the boxes.
