Freightos
is the online marketplace for the trillion dollar freight industry.
With a stellar investor portfolio that includes GE Ventures and Aleph,
$50 million in funding, and a team with a track record of successful
exits, the five year old company is transitioning from startup to rapid
revenue growth.
Which is important, because freight matters.
90%
of everything we eat, wear or use is shipped or flown from other
countries by the global freight (cargo) industry. But freight sales
technology is stuck in the '90s, without automation and pricing
transparency. Our unique patent-pending algorithm and sophisticated
cloud-based stack change that, automating freight pricing and routing.
Which is why after less than five years, most of the world's biggest
freight forwarders use Freightos technology.
We’re not the only ones excited about changing the world. You can read about Freightos in the BBC, TechCrunch, the Wall Street Journal and others.
We’re
looking for an Agile Coach/Scrum Master to join our growing Barcelona
R&D team. The perfect candidate will be one who can effectively
drive our teams towards continuous improvement to unleash their full
potential and contribute to make Freightos a reference in the high tech
world with regards to agility, good engineering principles and best
practices.
Come ready for a challenge and don’t be fooled by container ships; this is rocket-science technology.
You
will be helping the teams that are building our flagship product, not
only in Barcelona, but also in our other R&D sites. Our teams are
self-managed, multi-functional with end to end responsibility: they
design, implement, test, deploy and maintain the software they build,
and take ownership of how they work. You will become a crucial piece in
the teams, balancing mentoring and coaching as required and leveraging
your experience in building products that delight our customers. From
removing blockers for the teams, to helping them fail fast with minimum
risk, you have the skills needed to bring a trillion dollar industry
online.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the agility advocate in multiple teams, mentoring and coaching them on agile principles and practices.
- Drive
continuous improvement in the teams. Establish the right mechanisms to
keep the teams and their members in good health and bringing visibility
on how the teams are doing.
- Become a servant/leader for the
teams. Assist the teams to remove any blockers in their way, but also
coach them to become self sufficient.
- Assist the teams in their
ceremonies. Facilitate meetings as required, send minutes, document
working agreements and learnings from retrospectives.
- Help the teams to keep the backlog, the board and any other physical and virtual team tools in good shape.
- Spread
agility beyond the boundaries of the teams. Share success stories and
learnings with other teams and promote agility in R&D and in the
rest of the company.
- Help improve intra and inter-team communication, favouring a culture of feedback.
- Mentor other members of R&D into the art of agility, and help them to potentially become scrum masters/agile coaches too!
- As
any other member of the R&D organization, be ready to participate
in activities out of your comfort zone when the needs require it.
