Headquartered
in Dublin we have additional overseas offices in Madrid, Rome, Vienna

strong phase of growth.
We
are seeking for a senior web developer capable of coding new templates
and adding new functionalities to our websites, with the ability to
interact with designers to translate mockups and other graphic material
into websites or html, PHP code.
The successful candidate will be based in Madrid and will work alongside our Web Design team reporting to the WD Project Leader.
Bookassist®
Web Design provides highly-customised and responsive web design for
hotels, with easy navigation, fast download, SEO optimized, focused on
conversion and with simple content-management-system control.
Responsibilities
- Create new templates (themes) based on our CMS
- Translate mockups and other graphic material into responsive websites (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, PHP…)
- Test websites code and scripts on multiple browsers and devices
- Study the viability of new developments
- Provide new ideas to improve the product
- Work with development team by training them on the new implementations
- Reporting and analysis on improvements and design of hotel websites
- Own success - Take responsibility for successful delivery of all solutions
- Complete and submit time, status reports in accordance with the deadlines
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive and team player who can
contribute with new ideas, motivated and able to help the team to evolve
the platform.
- An active listener, with fluency in both English and Spanish.
- The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge and experience in:
- PHP server-side programming
- CMS, Expression Engine preferable, (front-end and back-end)
- Responsive Design
- Bootstrap library.
- Code compatibility with different devices like desktop, tablet/Ipad and mobile/Iphone.
- HTML5, CSS3, CSS preprocessors (Sass preferable), JavaScript, JQuery & JSon
- UX
- Experience in version control tools (GIT ...)
- Ability to translate mockup into a html, css, javascript and php code.
- Setting deadlines to developers.
- Optimizing code.
Additional useful skills
- Knowledge or experience in:
- Experience in web page optimization for Google (Google Page Speed..)
- Sketch, Axure, InVision or similar
- Photoshop and Illustrator
- CMS development
- MySQL
- JavaScript
- React or AngularJs
- Codeigniter
