Unity Tech Lead en Barcelona

ZeptoLab is seeking a talented and passionate Unity Tech Lead to join our team in Barcelona.

From the adorable Om Nom in Cut the Rope games to the intense multiplayer battles in Bullet Echo our games have captured the hearts of millions around the world. Our portfolio also includes C.A.T.S. Crash Arena Turbo Stars and King of Thieves.

The Unity Tech Lead will play a critical role in the success of our future and current games by leading a team of passionate and skilled Unity Developers. This position is responsible for driving the motivation and performance of the Client-side team as well as being an active member and developer of the Common Tech Department. The ideal candidate is a passionate technologist with a deep understanding of Unity, mobile game development and a proven track record of people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Client-side team, providing technical guidance and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence;
• Conduct 1:1 meetings with the Client-side team, drive motivation, provide tailored growth opportunities and foster high performance culture;
• Be an active member of the Common Technology Team, developing common solutions that can be used across all games;
• Identify areas of improvement in the teams and projects and promote good practices in development;
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and maintainability;
• Drive architectural decisions, promoting modularity, reusability, and maintainability;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our products.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Unity mobile games development;
• Deep understanding of multiplayer game development;
• Previous experience in Core/Plaftorm common solutions for mobile games development;
• Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns;
• Strong team management skills and passion for growing and supporting others;
• Empathy and active listening skills combined with a strong business mindset;
• Excellent problem-solving and result-oriented mindset;
• Professional C++ experience is a plus.
• Strong communication in English, Russian is a plus.
