Eurovision Services is looking for software QA engineers to join the international software engineering team at our technology hub in Madrid, Spain.


ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY HUB

The Eurovision Services technology hub in Madrid is responsible for delivering media and broadcast solutions using the most advanced software engineering techniques. As part of the technology team, you will be working with top international engineers specialized in media and see your developments implemented in Tier 1 global sports and news content.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

In this role as a Software QA Engineer, you will:

• Be responsible for validating our next generation of applications,

• Analyze requirements, design, and write test cases for new features and user stories,

• Execution of both manual and automated test cases,

• Evaluation of the test case results,

• Prepare and execute unit and integration tests,

• Identify and report defects and their root causes using Jira,

• Design and implement QA automated procedures integrated in the development cycle,

• Work closely with the development teams following our continuous integration workflow,

• You contribute and thrive in a highly agile environment,

• Generate documentation in English,

• Monitor software quality, from code quality to platform reliability.

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate must have some experience working as part of a software development team.

• Hands-on lab experience in automatization tools and software development tools,

including version control, build processes, debuggers, QA frameworks (Jira, Tosca,

Jenkins 2, Selenium, etc.),

• Used to work under Agile/SCRUM methodologies,

• Scripting language and programming experience (Java, Python, Linux shell, etc.),

• Experience on Linux or Windows running tools, scripts and applications themselves,

• Self-management and ability to work independently with limited supervision,

• You have good verbal and written communication skills in English.

 

ADDED VALUE

Additional experience in the following areas would be a bonus:

  • Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams.
  • Experience in OTT/media/broadcast software development projects
  • Knowledge of digital video concepts (container formats, codecs, compression schemes, tools, best practices, etc.)

EDUCATION

Bachelor or master’s degree in ICT, Software and/or Telecom.

The Labs will be responsible for delivering media & broadcast core solutions applying the most advanced software engineering techniques. The new offices in Madrid are specifically designed to boost creativity and facilitate innovation and learning in an amicable work environment. As part of the technology team, you will be working with top international engineers specialized in media while seeing your developments applied in Tier-1 worldwide sports and news content.
