International
growth is Udacity’s big bet and high priority within the organization.
The international teams across geographies consist of entrepreneurs,
engineers, student services, and marketing professionals. Working as a
member of Udacity’s growing European team, you'll be responsible for
supporting the international engineering team on multiple student-facing
projects.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship amazing student experiences.
- Engineer the libraries and frameworks that power our stack.
- Tackle tough design and product problems.
- Work cross-functionally with design and engineering teams to polish the product and marketing experience.
- Take full ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a developer role.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of UX, cross-browser compatibility and performance issues.
- Mastery of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Knowledge of React and/or Angular.
- Working knowledge in Python or Golang.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of web performance profiling and optimization.
- Able to rapidly execute mockups/wireframes.
- A
passion for emerging web standards, design systems and a desire to
build well-engineered. reusable front-end components for our living
style guide.
- Promote best practices and great usability.
- A
track record of being able to ship code, both independently and as part
of a small team. You can manage your own time, fulfill several project
requests, and meet tight deadlines.
- Intellectually curious, passionate, and inventive — we are always learning!
