The role:
The role includes but is not limited to, the development of the data platform, integrating new data sources to the machine learning models, and development of the simulation engines of the client.
Responsibilities:
Extending the equities data platform with additional fundamental, analyst, and alternative data sources
Extending the equities data platform to cover European and Asian markets
Orchestration of the daily data process
Extending the simulation engine to include novel execution techniques
Contributing to the development of a new live trading engine
Migrating parts of the data platform to the cloud
Building out the futures and options data platform
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field
Implementation of reliable code in Python in a team environment
Efficient software development with Numpy and Pandas libraries
Team development tools: continuous testing, code reviews, pull requests
Understanding of Linux operating system, shell scripts, crontab
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
Familiarity with cloud technologies
Strong attention to detail
Ability to contribute to trouble-shooting and problem solving by being self-motivated and resourceful
Knowledge of Docker
Experience with AWS services would be a plus
Previous experience with financial data would be a plus
Fluent in English and good command of Spanish
