Our platform's ability to ingest, process, and analyze vast amounts of Meter and Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) data is core to our mission. We are looking for a passionate Senior Engineer to own and scale the data backbone of our platform, ensuring a reliable and timely flow of data that powers our products and insights.
???? Work setup: Hybrid (1 day/week in-office for Barcelona-based candidates; full remote for the rest of Spain).

Your Challenge
Own the End-to-End ETL Lifecycle: You will design, build, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process data from diverse sources, including third-party APIs, databases, message queues, and flat files.
Build for Scale and Reliability: Ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and performance. You will be responsible for the monitoring, security, and operational excellence of our data integration systems.
Solve Complex Data Challenges: Implement sophisticated data transformations and business logic to turn raw data into actionable information that drives product features and critical business decisions.
Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with product managers and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Contribute to a high-quality codebase through thoughtful code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will keep abreast of new technologies and trends to evolve our data stack.
Must-haves
Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with a demonstrated focus on data integration, ETL development, or backend systems.
Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in a modern language. Proficiency in TypeScript is required for this role.
Database Mastery: Strong command of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), including data modeling and query optimization.
Problem Solving: A pragmatic and tenacious approach to solving complex technical problems, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP preferred) and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
Nice-to-have
Architectural Vision: Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the Energy, FinTech, or another data-intensive industry.
Modern DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Observability: Familiarity with modern monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Data Orchestration: Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
- API Fluency: Deep understanding of RESTful API design and security standards (OAuth, JWT).
