Descripción de la oferta

Wallapop is a Barcelona based scale-up driven by the purpose to empower people to embrace a more conscious and human way of consumption. We believe in a world where collaborative economy is mainstream. This is what drives us. 💫

Wallapop operates in Spain, Italy and Portugal, offering a catalogue of several hundreds of millions of products and services. Powered by technical innovation and continuous improvement, we bring together the scale & trust of classifieds with the marketplace’s convenience & reach. 🌱 Our mission is to enable a connected trade ecosystem, making 2nd-hand the norm through smart use of technology.

The Challenge 🧩

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with experience in Payment and Monetisation to join the team, reporting directly to the Director of Product. You will own the end-to-end checkout experience, payment infrastructure, and product market fit for new services. This is a high-impact role where you will balance user friction with monetization, ensuring that millions of transactions are seamless, secure, and efficient.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product vision, and leadership skills to drive initiatives that address challenges in a dynamic digital environment, by working in a cross functional team partnering daily with our software engineers, designers, data scientists and stakeholders like marketing, operations, logistics and customer service.

What You Will Do 👇

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision for Wallapop’s purchase ecosystem. Prioritize the roadmap with a focus on Checkout and Payments, maximizing Pay-in volume, driving wallet adoption, optimizing payment costs, minimizing transaction drop-offs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • New Services: Design, test, and implement new services, collaborating with Operations, Finance, and Data.
  • Payment Infrastructure: Oversee payment workflows for regulatory compliance without sacrificing user experience.
  • Data-Driven Discovery: Optimize conversion and monetization via A/B tests across the flow (including pricing/methods) to validate ideas and reduce uncertainty.
  • Gather insights from users, stakeholders, and partners to guide product improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, ensuring timely, high-quality launches.
  • Monitor product performance and feedback for continuous service enhancement.
  • Stay current on technological and regulatory changes impacting payments/checkout, advocating for and implementing best practices.

What We’re Looking For 🔎

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7+ years in Product Management, with at least 3 years specifically in Payments, Fintech, or E-commerce Marketplaces.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the payments lifecycle (Acquiring, Gateway, Escrow, Wallets) and familiarity with PSD2/GDPR regulations.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage effectively with engineers and understand complex technical systems. Ability to discuss API integrations and system architecture with engineers, especially regarding transactional integrity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver product initiatives.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and methodologies and being able to effectively communicate and align product goals with data-driven insights.
  • Experience in leading the development of ML-based product features is highly desired.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English a must & spanish a plus
