The Role
PR and Press Office
Manager, responsible and accountable for the successful day-to-day
implementation of the PR strategy and KPIs (targets, goals and
objectives namely around measurably driving traffic to site) for
lastminute.com group brands (including Rumbo and lastminute.com) as part
of the wider marketing mix, working alongside with Consumer and B2B PR
agencies.
With
compelling PR, we want to stand out in a crowded market place. We’re
looking for an ambitious, highly motivated individual to plan, deliver
and analyse our consumer PR as well as work closely with our other
European markets to share best practices.
We
would love to have someone in our team with a natural passion for PR,
who is highly creative and at the same time analytical when it comes to
delivering differentiated, innovative PR to further increase awareness
for our brand and products. We are keen to find a candidate who will
enjoy working closely with others Marketing teams and company
stakeholders, having a good understanding of Brand, Social, Blog, SEO,
Content, Customer Service, Trading and Product, in order to support the
business, protect the brand and integrate campaigns and strategy.
Key Responsibilities will include
Be integral in the development of our PR strategy (planning, goal setting, tactics and budget)
Manage all PR activities within campaign project and day-to-day communication
Ensure our press office is running efficiently guaranteeing our brands positioning
Ensure consistent and ongoing high profile consumer media coverage through enviable, unique consumer PR
Brief and coordinate our external PR and creative agencies
Handle media enquiries
Develop and cultivate contacts with key journalists, external agencies and brand ambassadors
Create and implement special blogger and influencer programs and partnership
Create / review press releases and other press material (infographics, still images, videos)
Own media analysis on a monthly basis across Europe
Monitor, flag and handle potential issues /crises to protect our brand, working closely with Customer Services and legal.
Collaborate and cooperate with internal stakeholders
Support corporate communication
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential
Degree level or equivalent
Significant experience in a similar role/consumer brands >10 years
Proven PR agency experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proven track record in managing and executing innovative PR activities / campaigns with integration into other disciplines
Experienced in storytelling production
Experienced in agency management and media analysis
Understanding of the PR opportunities of social media
Experienced working in an international environment
Exceptional writing / editorial skills
Fluent in English and Spanish
Desirable
Professional PR qualification
Strong relationships with national relevant media outlets and PR agencies
An understanding of the PR opportunities of social media
Understanding of SEO rules
Experience in Travel sector
