Vochlea
Music is a London based creative technology company on a mission to
empower music creators everywhere. We’ve created an artificial
intelligence (AI) Audio Engine that makes it easy for anyone to create,
control and manipulate music using their voice.

beatboxing triggering drum samples, humming a guitar part or controlling
effects by the timbre of your voice - all absolutely live!
Our
technology has been recognised internationally for a range of design and
innovation awards, including winning the SXSW 2018 pitching competition
and WebSummit 2019 Music Innovation prize. In November 2019 we released
our first product, vocal recognition MIDI controller, Dubler.

About the role
We are
seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic full stack developer to build
scalable web applications. Responsibilities include creating backends to
communicate with our desktop and mobile products, along with creating a
rich web front-end presence. We are looking for somebody who has
real-world experience writing tests, deploying apps and working in a
team.
You will be responsible for driving standards on the web
front, selecting web technologies and keeping everything ticking over
nicely (with plenty of support from the rest of us). There will be a
wide range of challenges to be tackled if you desire technical variety;
you would also be able to get involved in mobile/desktop app
development, and even try your hand working with machine learning if you
have an interest.
Our current (small and simple) web stack is
using a Ruby on Rails API backend plus bootstrap/pug on the frontend.
However, we’d be happy to rewrite in new languages or frameworks to suit
your skill-set and experience.
Required Skills:
3 or more years of full stack development experience
Insists on writing web apps with tests and clean code
Experience writing JSON apis
Experience with relational databases (i.e. postgres)
Testing frameworks
