We are looking for a strong, entrepreneurial and mission-driven
Senior Engineering Manager with exceptional coding abilities,
understanding of large-scale architectures, proven leadership and
ability to create a whole engineering organisation from scratch.
The Engineering Manager will be in charge of creating the
team start from scratch, its organisation and execution. It's a great
opportunity to take responsibility for a whole engineering organisation
and make it work right from the start, within a solvent company and with
all the support of the Spotahome core team.
We need our Engineering Manager to have capabilities and
experience managing teams and at the same time be technologically
updated. On a day-to-day basis, you will make decisions about the team
and help junior and senior profiles with their work.
You will also join a very fast-paced Start-Up
environment. You will have the responsibility of ensuring that we create
the best product in the market and the best tech tools for our
Landlords, Tenants and the Spotahome Team. As we continue to develop our
Product Team, you will have great power, therefore the great
responsibility of creating an amazing product used by millions and scale
it in a way that could be used by millions more. It is a huge challenge
that requires both technical and entrepreneurial mindset. You will be
challenged every day with different technical and business situations
and you will have the power to decide how to solve them while
communicating with and working alongside our multinational team.
Responsibilities
Create, manage and support multiple product engineering teams.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers to make sure we are building the best products for our users
Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Identify opportunities to share technology and good practices across teams.
Support product and tech leaders and the engineering teams to ensure their success.
Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
Manage and help to hire new members of the technical team.
You
will put your knowledge of architecture and development into practice,
contributing to the design and implementation of our operational
platform, from domain level to RESTful API, applying CQRS, DDD, Event
Sourcing and Hexagonal Architecture principles.
Help develop and maintain great software with emphasis on reliability and quality.
Maintain
up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging
technologies, and software development best practices.
Learn fast and be willing to teach others.
