Iristrace is a young Dutch/Spanish SaaS company with a fresh approach
to managing enterprise audits and compliance programs, using mobile
devices, turning business risks into business value. Iristrace proudly
delivers to world leaders in retail, automotive and in the hospitality
industries.
We’re looking for an experienced backend programmer that wants to
help scale the platform, using new architectural components and
concepts. The current stack is in PHP/ECMAScript/Cordova, but a strong
experience for example in Java, Go, Python is fine as well.
Our stack is in production serving customers worldwide. New customers
are demanding a distributed system able to handle high loads, and we
have made good progress on high availability provisioning. We are now
adding services and started strangling existing code to move towards
CQRS and event sourcing. We work trunk based with continuous integration
and deployment using Docker and Docker Swarm to bare metal clusters,
allowing us to publish several times per day.
In development and operations, we are organised as one team, no
hierarchies, and work on the highest priority first, combining all team
skills to ship a single story. No one is confined to a specific set of
code, and we take pride in moving at pace through the stories, and in
helping each other to get there. Speed ultimately gives us the freedom
to innovate and to bring in new technologies where it makes sense.
If you enjoy this type of setup, and are comfortable with your code
going straight to production, because you know how to manage this, then
we would very much like to hear from you. We are a B2B SaaS company, but
enjoy very strong and quite deep customer relations, and want to keep
it that way, so you will feel more comfortable if you are driven by
business value and a customer first mindset – and you do have to love
data – lots of it.
The team works at the Hague Security Delta, NL and in Alicante,
Spain. We see each other and travel to both places several times per
year. English is our common language, though sometimes we seem compelled
to slip in new vocabulary to enrich the dictionary. The position is
based in Den Haag, Madrid or Ibi/Alicante. Remote working is possible,
given a commitment to follow common hours and to travel to meetings
regularly. We want to keep a happy team that is in sync throughout the
day, and want to celebrate the achievement of our milestones in person
rather than virtually.
